The Corporate Engineer is responsible for overseeing the initiation and execution of new projects, with a particular focus on ensuring the verification and release of dimensional attributes and data relating to our products to verify adherence to process capability requirements. He or she will be tasked with developing digital solutions to be applied on the production floor with the goal of substantially reducing defects in the production process. This position involves direct collaboration with several groups within our company, including manufacturing and business development teams to evaluate and resolve quality issues. The Corporate Engineer will also be responsible for overseeing the implementation of our quality management system, Infinity QS, throughout our operations.

More specifically, duties include:

• Leading mold management for all of the Axium products, ensuring comprehensive records of product data are kept for future improvement of products and processes
• Overseeing engineering drawings for Axium’s product lines, making certain that agreed-upon limitations and requirements are adhered to
• Re-engineering components used in printed circuit boards and remote controls for our quality lab to improve our testing capabilities for products
• Developing and implementing new programs in the AVBIS system used for bottle testing, streamlining the data collection process and improving quality control efforts in our testing labs
• Establishing an effective continuous improvement framework based around customer audit feedback so that products are manufactured in line with customer needs
• Working together with cross-functional manufacturing, business development, and other teams to identify and resolve deviations in product and production quality
• Overseeing the implementation of the Infinity QS quality management system
• Optimizing Extrusion Blow Molding parameters in order to maximize production quality and reduce defects, developing and implementing a proactive maintenance schedule to improve production equipment lifespan and address defects
• Engineering and deploying digital solutions throughout the production floor to improve operational efficiency
• Application programming interface (API) development and system integration using REST APIs, including validation and debugging of inter-service communication using Postman
• Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows using GitHub Actions to manage deployments for new product launches and system updates
• Overseeing the efficient scheduling and prioritization of orders using SAP, working with customer support to optimize order fulfillment
