Equipment Operator

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery to support daily recycling yard operations. This role requires strong equipment-handling skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, and other machinery as needed.
- Load, move, and organize materials throughout the yard and processing areas.
- Perform basic equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure safe operation.
- Follow all safety guidelines, site procedures, and equipment protocols.
- Assist with general yard tasks when needed to support overall operations.
- Communicate clearly with team members to maintain safe and efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating heavy equipment (loader, excavator, etc.) preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong awareness of safety practices and equipment operation.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow instructions.
- Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to daily operational needs.
