Plastic Compounders, Inc. is a family-owned plastic manufacturing company in Cambridge, Ohio. We have been in business since 1965 and specialize in plastic repelletizing, compounding, blending, and recycling. We take plastic scrap and turn it back into usable pellets for manufacturers.
We are looking for a full-time forklift operator to join our team. This is a hands-on position that is important to keeping materials moving throughout the plant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials, finished pellets, gaylords, pallets, and boxes
- Load and unload trucks
- Stage materials for production
- Move finished product to the correct storage or shipping area
- Help with shipping and receiving
- Verify labels, paperwork, and material locations
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow company safety procedures
- Communicate with supervisors and machine operators as needed
Requirements:
- Prior forklift experience required
- Manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred, but not required if experienced and able to be certified
- Must be reliable and show up on time
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced plant environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Good attitude and willingness to help where needed
Schedule:
Day shift: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Full-time, on-site position in Cambridge, Ohio.
