Ice Resurfacer Driver/Custodial

+ Job Summary

Responsible for day-to-day routine ice maintenance, crowd control on game nights, and general custodial duties. Reports directly to the Lead Operations Manager, with reporting to Operations Manager, or General Manager (or Assistant General Manager in General Manager’s absence) if task demands

+ Essential Job Functions

Works with Lead Operations Manager to ensure ice plant, resurfacer, and facility are operating optimally

Maintain ice and monitor compressor room systems with issues being reported to Lead Operations Manager

Monitor and control crowds during game nights by ice resurfacer area doors for safety and aid in any glass replacement as needed

Check facility and empty trash every shift as schedule permits, and restock/clean restrooms, sweeping, mopping and cleaning locker rooms, bleachers and public spaces

Back-up person for all Front of House positions as needed

Assist in ice removal and installation as needed

Other duties as requested or assigned by General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Lead/Operations Manager(s)

+ Education and Experience

Must be 18 years old

Valid Driver’s License required

Attention to detail

Must complete comprehensive training and a minimum of 20 supervised ice cuts before being released to drive alone

by the Lead Operations Manager

Position is part-time, 15-20 hours a week

Ice arena, ice plant areas. Temperatures are in 30s and 40s most times. Slippery/icy/wet conditions

Able to lift up to 50lbs, standing, lifting, and ability to work early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
