Machine Operator
Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring assigned production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role helps maintain production standards, inspects finished products, completes required documentation, and supports overall production goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate various production and converting equipment.
- Set up and monitor machinery to ensure proper operation and quality output.
- Inspect products for defects and perform required quality checks.
- Package finished products according to established procedures.
- Complete production records and required paperwork.
- Use computerized inventory and production systems to issue and receive materials and process work orders.
- Print and apply product, container, or shipment labels as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform additional production-related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately complete production documentation.
- Experience operating industrial machinery preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the workday.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment.
